1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Scope of Services Notice
This Privacy Statement covers personal data processed by The Synergy Group AG t/a Mindful Money Coaching in connection with non-clinical Money Therapy and Money Coaching services delivered by Ilana Jankowitz. Money Therapy is a coaching modality blending Certified Money Coach (CMC) methodology, NLP, and the Inside-Out Money Therapy Method. It is not psychotherapy, mental-health treatment, or financial advice, and we do not process clinical health data or regulated financial-advice records. Personal data we process consists of contact details, coaching engagement records, payment information, and communications related to the coaching relationship — not medical or psychiatric records.
- Information you provide directly — When you create an account, make a purchase, provide feedback, or contact us: name, email address, telephone number (including for WhatsApp messaging where opted in), payment information (processed securely via third-party providers), address (for orders/deliveries), and any other details you voluntarily submit (e.g., in testimonials or support requests).
- Automatically collected information — When you browse the Service: IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages visited, time/date of access, and interaction data (via cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies).
- Other sources — Aggregated or anonymous data from analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) or third-party integrations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your user account
- To process payments and manage orders/deliveries/returns
- To provide customer support and administration (including via WhatsApp where you have opted in)
- To collect customer feedback and testimonials
- To enforce our Terms & Conditions, resolve disputes, protect the Service/site, prevent fraud, and ensure security
- For internal record-keeping, reporting, and legal compliance
- With your consent: for marketing communications (e.g., emails about updates, new offerings) or personalized content
If we intend to use your information for any new purpose, we will seek your consent first (unless required by law). We process data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent (where required), or legal obligations.
3. Consent
- How we obtain consent — By providing personal information to complete a transaction, place an order, or use certain features, you consent to our collection and use for that purpose. For secondary uses (e.g., marketing, WhatsApp notifications), we seek express consent or offer an opt-out.
- Withdrawing consent — You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing andre@thesynergygroup.ch or writing to the address above. This may limit your ability to use certain features/services.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose your information:
- To third-party service providers (e.g., WooCommerce/WordPress hosting, payment gateways/processors, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for WhatsApp messaging) only as needed to perform services for us. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies (review them directly, especially for cross-border transfers).
- If required by law, to comply with legal processes, protect rights/safety, or enforce our Terms.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your data may transfer to the new owner).
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services and Links
Our Service uses third-party providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics, messaging platforms). These may collect/use/disclose data per their policies. Transactions involving providers in other jurisdictions (e.g., US, Ireland) may subject data to those laws (e.g., disclosure under US legislation).
The Service contains links to external sites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies.
6. WhatsApp & Meta Messaging Services
Where you have provided your phone number and opted in to receive WhatsApp communications from us (for example, session reminders, course updates, or support messages), we use the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland), to deliver those messages.
When we send a WhatsApp message:
- Your phone number is transmitted to Meta so the message can be routed to your WhatsApp account.
- The content of the message (e.g., reminders, notifications, conversational replies) and associated metadata (delivery status, timestamps) is processed by Meta on our behalf.
- Meta acts as a data processor for delivery, and as an independent controller for the operation of the WhatsApp service itself.
In addition, our coach may receive internal WhatsApp notifications (e.g., when a high-intent prospect engages with our assessments) so they can respond promptly. These notifications may include your first name, archetype result, and a link to your record in our internal coaching dashboard. Such internal notifications are limited to authorised personnel and are not shared further.
Meta’s processing of WhatsApp data is governed by the WhatsApp Business Data Transfer Addendum and the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. We recommend you review both.
Your choices:
- You can stop receiving WhatsApp messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by emailing us at andre@thesynergygroup.ch.
- Withdrawing consent for WhatsApp messaging will not affect other services you receive from us, but may mean you receive fewer reminders or status updates.
- If you wish to delete the WhatsApp conversation history held in your own WhatsApp app, you can do so directly within the app; that action does not affect records we hold for legitimate business purposes (see Section 9 — Retention).
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for:
- Authentication & security — Logging in, protecting accounts, detecting spam/abuse.
- Preferences — Remembering language, country, or settings.
- Analytics & research — Understanding usage (e.g., via Google Analytics), testing/improving features.
- Personalized content — Tailoring suggestions, trends, or ads.
- Advertising — Delivering/measuring relevant ads based on activity.
You can manage cookies via browser settings (accept/deny, or prompt each time). Disabling cookies may limit functionality (e.g., no login). For details, see our separate Cookie Policy (linked where applicable).
8. Security
We implement reasonable and industry-standard security measures (e.g., SSL encryption for transmissions, AES-256 for stored payment data where applicable, PCI-DSS compliance for payments) to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method is 100% secure; you transmit information at your own risk.
9. Retention of Your Information
We retain personal information:
- For 90 days to 2 years after account termination, or as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined here.
- Longer if required for legal compliance, record-keeping, fraud prevention, or enforcing rights.
- Anonymous/aggregate data may be kept indefinitely.
- WhatsApp message logs (delivery status, message IDs, internal coaching notes derived from messages) are retained for up to 24 months from the last interaction, unless you request earlier deletion or longer retention is required by law.
10. Your Rights
Under applicable laws (including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the EU GDPR where applicable), you may have rights to:
- Access, rectify, erase, or receive a copy of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Port your data to another entity
- Withdraw consent (including for WhatsApp messaging)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, opt out of marketing/profiling, or inquire, contact us at andre@thesynergygroup.ch. We will respond in accordance with law.
If you withhold or withdraw required data/consent, you may be unable to access/use certain services.
11. Age of Consent
