The 2am wake-up that won't quit

You're a high-achieving woman living in one of the world's most expensive cities. On paper, you're doing well — you've earned it, you've built it, you can pay for it. But at 2am you're running numbers in your head, second-guessing every purchase, or quietly terrified that it could all disappear. That knot in your stomach isn't a budgeting problem. It's a felt-safety problem. Inherited patterns, old beliefs, and unspoken money stories are running the show. And no spreadsheet, no portfolio review, and no salary increase will fix that.

Zurich amplifies it. The cost of living. The visibility of wealth around you. The polite reserve that keeps anyone from talking honestly about money. You can have CHF 200k in the bank and still feel one Quartalsabschluss away from disaster. Money Therapy works because it stops trying to fix the numbers and starts working on the pattern underneath.

What Money Therapy actually does

Money Therapy with Ilana is non-clinical coaching. It is not psychological treatment, and it is not regulated financial advice. It works from the inside out.

  • Rewrites inherited patterns. Using the Inside-Out Money Therapy Method and NLP, we surface the beliefs you absorbed in childhood — about scarcity, worth, who deserves what — and replace them with ones that actually serve the woman you are now.
  • Builds felt safety, not just financial knowledge. You probably already know what you "should" do with money. The work here is making it feel safe to do it. Worthiness, receiving, autonomy, and alignment are not soft extras. They are the foundation everything practical sits on.
  • Puts you back in the driver's seat. Calm, confident decisions with money and in life. No more dread before opening the banking app. No more self-sabotage when an opportunity asks you to charge more. Just clarity you can feel in your body, not only argue for in your head.

Money Therapy vs psychotherapy vs financial advice

If you're in Zurich, you have access to all three. They solve different problems. Choose the one that fits the work you actually need to do.

Money TherapyPsychotherapyFinancial advice
Non-clinical coaching on your relationship with money. Inherited beliefs, body-felt safety, decision-making patterns. Clinical mental-health treatment for diagnosed conditions. Anxiety disorders, depression, trauma. Regulated under PsyG, requires cantonal permit. Regulated advice on investments, pensions, tax structures, insurance. Requires FINMA-licensed practitioner.
Best when the spreadsheet balances but you still don't feel safe. Best when symptoms are clinical and need a licensed practitioner. Best when the question is "where should this money go?"

Who this work is for

Money Therapy in Zurich is for high-achieving women who recognise themselves in most of these:

  • You earn well. The numbers are fine. You still feel anxious about money.
  • You under-charge, over-deliver, or hesitate before quoting your real fee.
  • You grew up around scarcity, judgement, or unspoken tension about money — and the body-memory hasn't left.
  • You are tired of "just budget better" advice that doesn't address why budgeting better feels unsafe.
  • You are willing to do inside work, not only outside work.

Frequently asked questions

Are sessions in Zurich in person?

All coaching is online via Google Meet, in English. Most Zurich-based clients prefer this — it means a session from home or office during the workday, no commute, full privacy. In-person sessions in Zurich are occasional and on request only.

Is this therapy I can claim on my Krankenkasse?

No. Money Therapy is non-clinical coaching, not regulated psychotherapy. It is paid privately. If you need clinical mental-health support, Ilana will refer you to a licensed psychotherapist.

What does it cost?

A 90-minute Quick Start session is CHF 350. Money Mindset Shift (12 weeks) is CHF 2,500. The Signature VIP Transformation (18 sessions, 12 months of support) is CHF 10,500 or 12 × CHF 875/month. See full program detail.

How quickly will something change?

Most clients notice a shift in how money feels by session three or four. Pattern-level change — the kind that holds when life gets hard — typically takes the full 12-week or 12-month container. The work is honest, and it lasts.

I recently completed the Mindful Money Coaching course. The sessions were delivered with a lot of care and structure, and I felt supported throughout the process. I gained meaningful personal insights especially around family patterns that influence my relationship with money. I appreciated having a reflective space to slow down, look at things from a different angle, and reconnect with ideas I hadn’t thought about in a while. It has given me a lot to think about going forward. How I spend my money and why and the emotions attached to it all. Overall, it offered a gentle reminder of the deeper emotional layers behind financial habits and more, which was helpful for me.

Having followed Ilana off and on over a period of about 2 years, I finally decided that the time was right to sign up and start doing the work. I am not a business owner nor in huge financial difficulty, but I did feel naive and “uneducated” about money, in general. BUT what I got from this course, was healing, clarity and the confirmation that I truly am enough, exactly as I am. I healed wounds I didn’t know I carried with me which has given me the mental space to move forward and finally take “grown up” decisions. Ilana always felt like my number one fan. It felt like she was genuinely interested in every step I was taking, no matter how small or inconsequential it may have felt to me. You have to be willing to dig deep, be completely honest with yourself and Ilana, and the magic will happen from the work you put in.

Before working with Ilana, I hadn’t really looked at my finances in detail following my divorce. Doing the work and going through the worksheets and exercises helped me discover why I relate to money the way I do. Supported by Ilana, I knew I could change some of my perceptions around money. I took a good look at my financial situation and could see where I was doing well and what I needed to look at and adjust. I really enjoyed discovering and learning about my money archetypes. Ilana also helped me with some business coaching and how I could continue to grow my business. I changed some behaviours around finances too which I have stuck with which I am very happy about! The fear around money and finances has gone and I have more fun with it now too. One of my mantras has always been “I will always have enough money to do all the things I want to do” and this has only been reinforced. Ilana is also great at connecting you with other businesses for collaboration and networking. The weekly calls are an added bonus and a lovely way to connect and set goals for the week. Thank you Ilana!
