At the intersection of what you love to do, what you´re good at, what the world needs and what you can get paid for is your true purpose in life. The Japanese call this your ‘Ikigai.’

The Japanese are one of the happiest nations in the world and live the longest lives. Is it because they are living their true purpose? Their Ikigai?

Discovering  your true identity and who you really are is the ultimate purpose of any journey of self discovery. In this module we will learn about your Ikigai and how Eastern philosophy and Western culture overlap.

Use these workbooks to explore what brings you joy, discover your passion and see how you can combine these to earn a living and create something of value

In this process, you´ll come to understand who you are and why you´re as wonderful as you are.

Living your passion, Ilana

Discovering your true identity and who you really are is the ultimate purpose of any journey of self discovery. We’re going to start by asking some simple questions which have very deep answers. Take your time over this and revisit these questions and the answers you have written on a regular basis. Just by asking the questions will open you up to new discoveries.
You are extraordinary,
Ilana

In the last workbook we asked questions about who you are and where you want to go. With any journey, there are obstacles and, often, the greatest obstacles are within ourselves.
So let us now continue the journey of self discovery by being honest with ourselves about the things which may be in our way. Don’t judge yourself during this exercise. No one is perfect and we all have doubts, insecurities and challenges which can get in our way. But the only way
to overcome an obstacle is first to understand it. Have courage

At the intersection of what you love to do, what you’re good at, what the world needs and what you can get paid for is your ‘reason for being’. The Japanese call this your ‘Ikigai.’ The Japanese live the longest lives on average in the world. Is it because they are living their true purpose? Their Ikigai? Here is where Eastern philosophy and Western culture overlap.

If ikigai is your ‘reason for being’ then now is the time to look at that other big question – what I am I here for? It isn’t an easy question to ask but it is part of the human condition to want to seek the answer. So now is the time to start questioning the part you play in the universal canvas of life. Just as with your ikigai, this may come to you easily or it may take time. It may be something external and huge – to end poverty – or it may be internal and close to home – to be an amazing mother. Mine came to me as I was discovering my own money story – to help other women like me have a happy and healthy relationship with money and, through this, themselves.
Open your heart to your divine path,
Ilana
